Remove Spaces from Filenames

If you’ve ever wanted to remove the spaces from all the filenames in a directory and replace them with underscores, here’s how to do it with a bit of bash shell scripting.

for n in *; do
mv "$n" `echo $n | tr ' ' '_'`
done

May come in handy one day!


Funny SMF Easter Egg

I have recently discovered that Simple Machines Forum, a popular bulliten board software, appears to have a hidden “easter egg” that converts your post count to say “leet” instead of 1337! This is in reference to the internet slang, “l33t”.
